The colours of this design flow well together and give the image a "flow" look, if that makes sense. Though the lines are slightly wonky, it gives the piece character, and helps portray the emotion behind this design. Though the ear does irk me slightly; the top is too square and it doesn't flow well into the curve. And the hand suddenly cutting off in a dead-straight line isn't too realistic, but it does match with the style you've gone with. If you added slightly more shading, to emphasise the heart more and make it "pop", I believe that would work well; you could have easily made it a darker red and the image would still keep to the flow of colours and style.
Overall this is a great idea and design, but if tweaked slightly could even be better
